WCI created tension, continually emphasized the power of the crew and made the Big Mom Pirates seem genuinely dangerous, had repeated setbacks occur, and had some of the best storytelling and character work of the post-TS.

Look at Lanji fans glazing WCI, where he was very little involved.
Best part was Luffy v Katakuri.
All Simpji parts were skipable, false depth.

WCI is better than Wano, but not good at all... the best post-skip long arc is Dressrosa by a mile IMO (with all the problems it has).

The wedding cake frenzy was abysmal to say the least, besides that it is not so bad of an arc especially after today’s standards
I’d still take Punk Hazard and Dressrosa as the peak of post ts, Wano seemed to be reaching the climax apparently, but then it took a free fall. But yeah the setup for the party with all kinds of schemers involved was a good read
