Why bring up zoro in conversations that has nothing to do with him? I'm not downplaying Rayleigh. He's just an overrated bum that has done nothing significant in his career other than being Roger's loyal dog.


1) He literally has no significant individual achievement. All his hype is about him being Roger's dog.
2) Whether Garling was leader of HK or not doesn't matter. It has already been portrayed to us that he was the top dog there. Only Imunko can possibly outrank or overpower him.
3) From the Rocks pirates, everyone aside for that Marlon fodder is on the same level as Rayleigh.

1.He's about to get a significant achievement, by beating Garling. So that's cool
2. Of course it matters lmao. He might be the top dog now, but not 39 years ago. Do you know how long ago that was?

Until today it was the way to go, but now Garling and Ray have an actual plot connection and more so, now Xebec vs Imu is more alive than ever, so WB and Shiki might be needed to give Xebec a timeout from Roger and Garp.

By canon Rayleigh gets Shakky.
Even if Ray not the person to rescue Shakky, her heart still belongs to Ray.....so she'll go back to Ray in the end.
If they fought and who wins?? Then nobody.
Garling won't be defeated or look pressured i guess, this dude is unhinged, never show extreme emotions or "negative" reaction everytime he's onscreen.

Garling got the Aura that is legit untouched. He's the perfect guy that is the definition of "saving up for later"
And not a chance in hell would he look bad in a flashback when we don't know shit about his capabilities but all we know is he got a solid portrayal + he's obviously going to be one of the big bad boss in the future arcs or EOS.

Rather being outshined by Rayleigh..... Garling have a big fat chance to look better than even fking Rocks, Roger and Garp in this flashback due to his future relevancy and portrayal as Imu #2.
And i doubt Ray would be mistreated or took some L in this flashback. So neither can look bad, so Ray most likely snatch Shakky during the time of chaos all over the place.
