The more evil we find out the Gorosei are, the more little Figarland seems like the most sus character in the whole story:

Shanks is a morally grey character. Some are trying to portray him as a hero, but he is far from one, he is no Koby.
Shanks resigned himself to the status quo of the world. He would let evil play out as long as it isn’t opposing him. He only protects people affiliated or dear to him.
He is thirsty for knowledge and understanding, perhaps the only individual not affiliated to WG who knows the entire truth of the World. But he is no saint or hero

If Aokiji was serious completely then we know he can freeze half the island. Lol. Garp wasn't as mentally nerfed because he was literally mocking Aokiji for wavering. Once Aokiji did get past his mental nerf, we saw what he did without even going all out.
And he got up faster despite taking more damage beforehand. Excelled the best raw hands thrower in history in his own specialty aka CQC
