Just like how Devil Fruits are created by dreams (or whatever Idrc) black blades are also created by abstract force - black blades are created by love!

Only the swordsman who love their sword(s) the most can forge the black blade!

Why Roger, Whitebeard, Shanks, Rayleigh, etc didn't forge black blade? Because they didn't love their sword/blade enough!

Half-ass love won't cut it, only true ultimate mega powerful love can forge the black blade!

If Zoro want to forge a black blade he better step-up his game because even naming your son after your sword isn't enough

Anyway, I will stick with my theory until it gets confirmed or debunked. You can make a black blade by fulfilling your dream of being the strongest swordsman of your era. Guys like Roger, Shanks, Oden, Rayleigh, etc. didn't create a black blade because they were never on the path of swordsmanship or aiming for the WSS title in the first place.
