Most, including me, think Oda was refering to Blackbeard and Shanks in his last Jump Festa message. He also hinted at coming deaths. Many believed for along time that Blackbeard would eventually kill Shanks. I don't see that happening. Shanks' shadow is too valuable. Teach will want Moria to make good use of it. For that, Shanks has to keep living. He will be a captive of the Blackbeard Pirates, which means he will be freed, when Luffy defeats Teach. Shanks might even be able to fight alongside Luffy against Imu after t hat.
