no one cares to challenge mihawk after 3 decades, Vista, King, BM, Shanks, Shiryuu, Issho, etc...
I've seen like 3 characters outside of Zoro care for the title - ones dead the other looks like the dead one and the other one was fodder in east blue saga...
its a title no one cares for or goes after.
on the otherhand plenty of people that are high tier plus have tried to go after WB solely for his title alone...
Croc, Ace, Kaido etc...

they challenged him simply cause he was the strongest idk how that isnt anymore clear, Ace clearly outlined this that hes Rogers equal and wanted to kill him, Croc wanted his title and to take out the strongest, Kaido wanted to fight him cause he considered hima candidate for JoyBoy and had him in his top 5 which was of the strongest...

They aren't titles in the same sense as a boxing title. Which is the way you and many others talk about it.
Mihawk and WB are the strongest swordsman and man respectively. They aren't the World's Strongest Man/Swordsman title holders.

Yet we know that isn't true at any moment if WB was actually challenged by any of the other Yonko he wouldve lost in his weakened condition, this was proven in MF, when Squardo wounded him so easily and Croc called him a weak man... he held the title but was uncontested by any of the other Yonko on the scale that MF was or Wano, at best we have a young Croc and a Super Rookie Ace who actually tried going after WB directly.
same goes for Mihawk he claims there isnt any other opponent worthy than Shanks and even than he doesnt even want to fight him, this has been showcased on multiple occasions, not once or twice but 3 times even moreso he doesnt even want to face the Yonko, for someone who has knowledge and knows of the strongest swordsman on WBP crew he never wanted to challenge him and didnt want to fight him on MF...

WB remembers and thats all he was reminsing on the old seas of course hes going to bring up that fight when hes talkign to one of the persons that was in the actual fucking fight.
