Powers & Abilities Blunt force Shockwave Swordsmanship? Since when?

... Are you obsessed with this weird shockwave stuff?

Okay. Well, let's talk about it then... Zoro hasn't done anything like Divine Departure and probably never will. That seems to be a Conqueror's Haki attack.

Zoro may end up doing Conqueror's Haki attacks, but they won't be the same as Roger's or Shanks or the kind Luffy might end up making. I think there's probably going to be a clear difference between people like that.

But if you're just suggesting Zoro can make "pressure", then sure... I guess. It's not the same, and it looks super different, but okay.

A concession here might be that Zoro wants his name to reach the heavens, so he could split the sky sometime. It all depends, really.

All based on intent of the swordsman. Zoro can do it but his intent is always to cut like he said as a kid

I think it's just aesthetics on Oda's part. Sure these guys are swordsmen (Roger, Xebec Etc). I still think though their rough and unconventional style is due to them being society misfits. Look at the Wano samurai and even Zoro their fighting style is really smooth and refined. Even Oden who was a beast has really good fundamentals in swordsmanship.
Shiki probably had some proper training as kid too. so his style should be more fluid and refined.

Zoro hasn't done anything like Divine Departure
What is divine departure? A sword slash using CoC? You’re saying Zoro has never done a sword slash with CoC?

Or are you saying it’s an Air bar with CoC?

I mean Zoro has used Slashes with CoC and he has used Air bars… So I guess you’re saying Zoro is physically incapable of combining the two things he’s already done

If blunt force martial artist learns Rankyaku, they will have both piercing/slashing & blunt type damage.

Maybe Oda wants to expands swordsmanship with that, to make swordsmanship more versatile, having both slashing & blunt type damage.

That Tatsumaki panel is actually cutting attack. Kaku used Tekkei to stiffen his body and make it look like an impact.

Rest are good.
Nope. Zoro’s pre time skip Tatsumaki doesn’t cut. It’s simply a wind tunnel

It’s his post time skip Tatsumaki that cuts.

Kaku needs Tekkai because the Tatsumaki would damage him without it from the sheer force of the wind
