Break Week Both Luffy and Oda refuse to grow up even after 25 years

#1
I’m so fucking mad right now that Luffy just refused Pluton like that and refused to assume his role as an emperor properly, by amassing power so that Blackbeard will never even be a threat

But I guess Luffy has become so strong now that Blackbeard won’t be a big threat ,so Oda is creating a dumb plot of letting him obtain both Pluton and Poseidon via Caribou which is very obvious

And then he’ll realize he made BB too much of a threat and write himself into a corner again and keep stalling and stalling until he comes up with another dump plot of how they were able to defeat Pluton

You don't understand Luffy's character and thats the problem

Perhaps not Luffy alone, the entire Strawhat crew you fail to understand.

Franky himself declined the Mera Mera despite how powerful it is, they are not greedy for power, he also knows how to build pluton ans doesn't care to use build it

Quit bitchin

problem is that oda's mind stayed 25 years back when his audience was full of children. he cant accept that his audience grew up and he has to grow some balls too.

Yea it's not a good decision tbh, the least Luffy can do is being responsible for at least protecting it.

I was also frustrated with Oda’s writing choice, but it is consistent with Luffy’s character. I am hoping that there’s a consequence for Luffy’s decision to reject Pluton. I wonder if Blackbeard will gain control of Pluton. I would like to see Blackbeard and his crew return.

There’s no such thing as being consistent, it’s alright to be carefree and desire freedom but in order to preserve that freedom at least you should try and protect that freedom from being deprived.

Him declining Pluton means someone else will get it so he should at least try to keep it safe so that no one else(like Blackbeard) will get to it

people grow up and Luffy is capable of that

luffy should destroy pluton beause it will fell into wrong hands.
the plot is pointing towards BB getting it which I hate because it’s obvious and creates fake tension

If BB got Pluton that would be shit writing

You realize it has only been 2 years within the story, not 25 years? not to mention, what reason would Luffy have to get Pluton? He may be an emperor, but that doesn't mean his ideals and personality have changed.
So that we won’t have a dumb plot point of a “timebomb” like the Onigashima drop or Big mom hunger pangs or birdcage type of BS when the BB battle comes that will waste 100s of chapters just to be stupidly resolved like always

You're clearly traumatized by Birdcage and Onigashima is falling plot points
