Luffy won't defeat Imu.
They are fighting him in a gauntlet and they will all be defeated, Imu will be forced to return to Mary Geoise because of the time spent in the lower world.

If you think Luffy isn't finally getting another power-up to land the final hit on Imu (who, yeah, might be on a time limit but will be forced to retreat anyway), I don't know what to tell you.

He already missed out on a definitive 1v1 victory in Egghead; Oda isn't going to pull that twice in a row.
And honestly, just surviving and holding off Imu easily warrants way more than a 4B bounty, since Imu already no diffed a far stronger version of the Luffy who had defeated Kaido.

Luffy will get 1B increase for causing the Egghead siege (contributing in Vegapunk speech) and for causing trouble to the World Govt. in Elbaf.

If you add Egghead to the mix, a 1B increase is just laughable. You're saying Big Mom would STILL have a higher bounty than the new Nika who fought the ruler of the world and allied with Elbaf's War God, on top of having allegedly killed Vegapunk? Come on.

The next, and final, increase will probably make him reach 5,656,290,000 (go-mu go-mu ni-ka).

Luffy is going to surpass Roger in strength this arc. And in terms of threat level, he's already ten times more dangerous than Roger or WB simply because he's Nika. His final bounty will definitely blow past that number, but that's a debate for another day.

Kaido was matched against Wano Nika and Wano ACoC. Same for Big Mom, I assume, even though we didn't see it as clearly.
And that's not even bringing up Kaido stating that pre-Nika Luffy was an opponent he could go "truly toe-to-toe" with.

Right now, Luffy is heading straight for the God tier.

As for Imu, this might not be full-power Imu, sure, but it's been 4-5 years since Luffy's last major win and last real power-up. Something is going to happen.

Regarding the bounty, I can't see Luffy getting less than ~5B by the end of Elbaf tbh.

We can't ignore Kaido running the longest gauntlet to date before fighting G5 Luffy.
Luffy that learned adv. CoC (finally able to actually fight Kaido) still lost to Kaido, even tho the fight was getting close.
After reviving, with G5 awakened, he barely won (again, after Kaido fought the 9 Scabbards, Kidd, Zoro, Law, Killer, Yamato).

To me, Luffy after Wano is close to Kaido/Linlin but not quite there yet.
He gained more experience at Egghead and now in Elbaf and I can say that he is quite there now.

Luffy's potential is God-tier, but we just saw how he performed against a real God.
He still needs to sweat and bleed to get there.
