during my university finals last yr, it basically went like the following since all my finals were late afternoon/night:
00:00 - 09:00 | take shit + shower before sleeping at 00:00
9:00 - 17:00 | wake up + study/practice questions. only consuming water (preferably cold since i get tired fast with hot/warm water), pedialyte, and sometimes gatorade
17:00 - 20:30 | take Final. again only consuming water
20:30 - 22:30 | eat either at dining hall or nearby restaurant. Basically ate as much as I desired and wanted (8-9 plates/meals); no set diet/restrictions since pretty much everything equally causes bowel movements for me that isn't water
22:30 - 00:00 | go back to dorm, repeat the same as [00:00 - 09:00]
This worked really well for me for 5 of the 6 finals I had to take in a 2 week span. for 1 of the finals (first one), made the fatal mistake of buying/eating a pack of BBQ chips 15 min before the exam (after fasting the entire time prior) and literally 15 min into the exam, started leaking diarrhea immediately and I couldn't physically hold it in (fart = death for anyone with bowel movements). luckily i had wore a lot of layers just in case (boxers, basketball shorts, sweatpants, construction pants) just in case so it did not permeate the room yet and the professor allowed me to leave immediately to the bathroom next to the testing room. Had to burn up 25 min taking care of 'business' and throwing away a few pants, but still ended getting an A on the Final. Had to really commit to not eating anything period before attending an important event/exam or I would have been screwed tbh.
I already deal with eczema 24/7 since I was born but now dealing with bowel movements when I consume anything that is not pure water has brought an entire new world of miserable for me tbh. And people that I've asked in a similar boat tell me that their 'happiness' is dictated by whether they have Imodium ready on hand and having a bathroom within a 50 ft vicinity and that there's no real solution to 'get rid of it' from doctors w/o medication.

after university though and moving back home, living in a tradition asian household where they expect you to eat 4-5 times a day has made it even more miserable to deal with since most of my awake time becomes going in/out of the bathroom (if I do not take Imodium) instead of being able to study/work. I don't wish for anyone else to have to deal with bowel movements tbh.

Stress can also be a contributing factor.

Even diabetes type 2 can be cured with the proper diet. Don't panic and rush into surgery until you haven't tried.
