Buggy has a gag that shapes the entire world building of the story.

He's not even interesting or funny anymore.

His gag is just he's an evil dude that always loses and runs away from fights like a bitch and gets rewarded by the author for it.

Can hardly use his devil fruit, can't use haki, probably couldn't beat a vice admiral 1 on 1 without the plot armor

His only purpose is comedic relief yet he's getting the treatment of a main character while doing absolutely nothing

Does no one in the One Piece story find it weird that Buggy is dressed up as a clown 24/7 BY CHOICE? Since he was a child.

Buggy is the worst character in One Piece. His gags derail the entire plot of the story to the point the gags aren't funny anymore.

No one with a brain wants to see Buggy as Pirate King or a yonko.

Mihawk would have been the better choice to have a storyline setup of Luffy and Zoro vs Two Yonkos Shanks and Mihawk to surpass their idols.



Even Mr.Satan from Dragon Ball is written better than Buggy.

Such an insult to his own story

Imagine having a gag character rise up to glory at the same time as your own MC
Have rivals like Law and Kid you built up for years sidelined ,have BMP or wherever sidelined just for some gag to rule over Crocodile and Posthawk (although he's fraud, he's still someone strong)
Since when does Crocodile accept someone who's a fraud to run as figurehead? The same Crocodile that didn't wanna work with Doffy cause he found him underneath his status.

Making Buggy the Yonko was and remains stupid!

Like you said, Mr.Satan is written better as gag character. Even King from One Punch Man or other gags like Lambo (who's actually very strong kid when he powers up) etc...

he didnt dress like a clown when he was child and your talking about being weird in the One Piece world being weird is normal for the one piece world.

Buggy is the greatest of the great. He has truly human struggles while being quite inhuman. You can easily relate with him and his anger and sadness to what happens to him. People who hate him mostly are in a similar circumstances to him, angry that the clown get out of it or has a camera on him. Feeling that anger unaware that they get angry at themselves through the clown.


And besides, Buggy will be the king of the world

It is good for Buggy to be the Pirate King. It shows the greatest power on the sea isn’t a devil fruit or haki, but the power to bring people to your side.

It’s how Roger became the pirate king, it’ll be how Buggy does the same.
