mythic Zoans are zoans that let you turn into animals that don’t exist

couldn’t there be a logia equivalent of this where the user can transform into an element that does not exist?

We already have something similar to this with the yami yami no mi. The darkness Teach creates isn’t anything that exists irl. Yes black holes exist, but they are nothing like what Teach creates.

another example of a mythical logia could be a philosopher’s stone logia. This could be a good candidate for Imu’s DF, as the philosopher’s stone is said to be able to grant immortality, which Imu seems capable of doing.

While Imu is shown shapeshifting, this isn’t necessarily indicative of him having a zoan as logias can shapeshift and even mimic zoans(see: Karasu).

Ultimately I think this would be really cool and imaginative and would be much better than all the mythical zoans we’ve seen as of late.

It could have been interesting but imo at this point you have the 3 basic categories with overall:

Paramecias and zoans at the same level (with exceptions of course)

Logia as rarer and a step above powerwise (that was true at least for pre time skip yet in any case the admiral stand as a bulwark of the logia power as a devil fruit category)

Myth zoans as overall stronger zoans (muth beats are stronger than normal ones) with strong "side" abilities which are worth a df (or even more) on their own (Marco regen, flame body Kaido who had an impenetrable defense plus storm control, hyper beams, flame/lava body etc.). Ancient zoans could be a sub category, an in-between myth and normal zoans but close to normal zoans (as the ancients even if strong don't get any special ability).

And finally the "god" devil fruit, a myth zoan based on a god that literally stole the title of strongest creature from the dragon becoming the facto the new strongest zoan/creature.


Awakening changes a bit the cards yet the Nika df totally destroys normal df awakenings (see Luffy vs Lucci part 2).

When I first red It, I thought "no", but the Yami Yami thing It's true.

And tbf Aokiji It's kind of the same: in theory he Is "cold", Hie Hie, che cold fruit, ice Is only a byproduct.

Aramaki's too It's not really wood, but nature.

Katakuri has a logia like body which is just labelled as special paramecia, since Mochi isn't a natural occurrence. Mythical will just refer to mythical beings.

No because you are comparing apples to oranges. Mythical Zoan is intended for Japanese folklore creatures and animals to make their way into a pirate series where such folklore doesn't exist

Phoenix (Marco), Azure Dragon (Kaido), Okami (Yamato), Buddha (Sengoku), the majority of Mythical Zoans are inspired by Far East culture

There is no such thing that is equivalent for Logias. They will simply be dubbed special or unique like Mochi and Yami fruits

Tbf, elements like Drakness, Cold or Nature are not the same as Smoke or Sand or Fire. Some of them are concepts more than real elements.

Imo Yami yami will be retconned with Paramacia or Zoan type.

Nature - Wood is a natural element.

It's possibile.

And both ice and wood are not the elements of the Logias: they can produce Ice and Wood, but one is the cold cold fruit (and not the ice fruit), and that is why other that produce ice can cool down anything, from water to magma probably; and the same Nature it's not just wood: the main prodcut is wood because plants, but Ryo can make grass and every plant grow, he literally regenerated from a flower.

The difference with Smoke that can only produce Smoke, or fire that can only produce fire, is there.
