Kaidou or King never showed magma for 1, those are just flames.

Akainu vaporized steel just with his presence, it's already a greater heat feat than Kaidou's ultimate. So ofcourse when he goes all out we're bound to see crazy stuff.

So besides Kaidou already being declared by the author as superior to Akainu, Kaidou is built to have a matchup advantage against Akainu's main power, which is his magma, not to mention Kaidou's superior physical strength, durability, speed, endurance, and Haki. LMAO

Of course, this is considering the fact that Kaidou is enveloped in special flames generated by a mythical dragon (his power), which have the appearance of magma to the extent that someone like Zoro claims that the flames generated by his right arm are literally like the magma itself.

Well, Marineford made it clear that durable objects like Shanks' sword and Whitebeard's bisento, whether coated in Haki or not, are capable of withstanding casual collisions with Akainu's magma without being melted. Akainu's fight against Aokiji proves this, showing that a body with ordinary durability, when coated in ordinary Haki, can handle Akainu's offensive attacks. It is plausible to hypothesize that Akainu consistently hit Aokiji, but Aokiji's Haki was able to block the attacks. Taking this hypothesis into consideration, a durable body like Kaidou's, when applied with monstrous Haki, can literally emerge unscathed by enveloping itself in the magma. LOL
