Powers & Abilities Can Axe Count as Graded Weapon?

#1
Like we know.

Weapon system in one piece is inspired by Japanese sword grade system.

But oda has Involved his own twist in it.

- Whitebeard Murakumogiri is a polearm and is considered in the Graded System.

- Kaidou Weapon is a club but there's a chances for it to be passed down as a graded weapon.

So , Characters like Silver Axe , Gaban Who uses Axe. What are the Chances Axe can be Considered a Graded Weapon too?

Because that might be able to fill the remaining gaps in the 12 supreme grade category.

Confirmed
- Mihawk - Yoru
- Roger - Ace
- Whitebeard - Murakumogiri
- Fujitora - Yakuza line
- Nasujuro - Shodai Kitetsu

Speculation
- Xebec
- Shanks - Gryphon
- Garling
- Shamrock - Cerebrus
- Shiryu - Raiu
- Rayleigh

- Silver Axe
- Gaban
- Loki - Hammer

The difference between Oda's System & Real One is that Oda Grades Swords, while Japanese used to Grade Swordsmiths,
So Oda doesn't technically need to stick to just Swords, as those Smiths can make other Bladed-Weapons, while Japanese System solely focuses on Ranking Swordsmiths,

But it doesn't change the Fact that this Meito System is defined by Smiths Skills & Craftsmanship,
That's why Law's Sword for example isn't Graded even though it's a Quality One, because it was born from a different Kind of Smiths,

This makes Meito Blades like a Family Tree, They need to belong to a Line that goes back to whatever Nation or Group started this whole Art,
And is there any Candidate except WG? These Meito Blades seem like Royal Family of Weapons, and We've seen how Founding Rulers of WG all had Bladed Weapons, as shown in Empty Throne & also you can notice how Statues in Mary Geoise of either Ancient Kings or Ancient Holy Knights show them carrying their Weapons ... etc

It makes perfect sense that these 20 who for some reason stood out from all other Kings & Queen of OP World, also had Weapons that stood out or They had Bladesmiths Exclusive to them (Regardless if They are from Wano or other Nations),

If you look at Empty Throne & Mary Geoise in General, you notice that not just Polearms & Spears are Included but also Axes,
So Yes, Silver Axe is definitely a Supreme Blade Candidate, alongside Six you mentioned, i could also add Sword in Imu's Room & Harald's Sword as Candidates, (Loki have a Hammer, i don't think Hammers are Included)

PS: Mihawk's Sword looking similar to Empty Throne adds credibility to this Theory & also fits Design of Sword meant to be Top 1.

Lol.. Did i inspire you to make this thread..

As long as your weapon has a handle, a bladed Edge and made of steel, it could be a Graded Meitou..

Kaido's club can't, the spikes are not a bladed edge and his club his most likely made of Iron..

The making of steel in Japanese weaponry was used for swords as well as spears and polearms, making them all considered in the same area of quality, but the axe itself was a bit of a niche weapon during those times, so it really wasn't considered a part of the larger family.

Isn’t Kaido’s kanabo also a named and graded weapon? I’m pretty sure it is

And even if it isn’t I’m pretty sure Whitebeard’s naginata is counted so I don’t see why axes wouldn’t be

Silver Axe has a higher chance of having a supreme grade than Gaban though

It seems like when it comes to “paired” weapons one weapon pretty much never has a higher grade than the other and both peak at great grade max (Oden, Shiki, etc)

Zoro will be the first character to dual wield supreme grade blades

Yes cuz it's part of "Blade"
Correct me if I'm wrong @PuckTheGreat but Oda seemingly does not differentiate between Blades, Swords, and non blades weapon?
Might be just language localization, since in my country Katana was called Samurai.
