If it weren't for Kuma, Rayleigh's biggest "contribution" to saving the SHs would've amount to absolutely nothing, very similar to the Gaban/Gunko situation here.

Gaban needs to prove himself capable of doing that about as much as Rayleigh needs to prove he could bypass regen and beat Sommers as quickly as Gaban did. News flash, they can. Gaban can stall an Admiral, Rayleigh can bypass regen and beat Sommers with the same ease, this should be obvious. I don't need to see every character in every possible combat scenario, I can make inferences.
