It will. For every WSJ manga that was very successful that had a shitty adaptation they released a good one later on.
Whether it´s going to be with Toei though is a different story, though they might have bought the rights indefinitely.

It’s an specially successful manga of course they’ll milk it when it’s over.

Unfortunately this. Oda can just enjoy his retirement and let others milk his series while he gets the paycheck. But i still wish one piece doesn't have any legacy/sequel. Next generation thing always ruins the novelity of a series
