Speculations Can Oda pull off a decent Devon Laffite foreshadowing?

If Devon and Laffite are on the island, then they might have swapped places with someone.
Meaning when we finally find out one of the characters we've been following all along was Devon, then we might have to re-read the entire thing and notice Oda's craft in good foreshadowing.

Question is was there any foreshadowing? Can Oda really pull it off?

So far in EggHead we had the York murder mystery. Now it would be suitable to do something similar with Devon.

However I expect something more than Bonney's head being popped out only to then find out it was Devon all along. Although it would be hilarious if multiple characters intervene to rescue Bonney before they fail and then find out it's Devon.

Also what would Laffite be doing? Is he a decent fight? I don't remember a fight of him.

Robin-Devon,who maybe follows the SHs in the arc after Egghead,would be a cool way to bring back the "Robin as a femme fatale who cant be trusted" vibe on her character (altough it wouldnt be really her).
