Future Events Can Oda pull off a major villain death that will make readers sad?

#26
I think that Oda tries to expunge every trace of moral ambiguity in One Piece to avoid generating confusion in his reader. He wants to give them the certainty that the protagonists are in the right and that they always fighting for the just cause, worthy rooting for.
It’s for this reason that every single arc he goes extra mile to show how monstrous the villains are, his characters rarely shows shades of grey and King/leaders are all either Gandhis or Pol-pots.
We have an recent example in the Shanks vs Kid chapter where Oda justified Shanks apparent brutality by showing how Kid was about to slaughter mercilessly a bunch of defenceless weakling.

PS Sometimes he hints at a more complicated set of ideas (mostly as a sop for the adult audience) but overall the approach that he employs is in line with the Black & White dichotomy.
