So I think it’s safe to say that the problem is the Fruit, two users of the fruit both dying from metal objects. We can no longer blame Kid for his performance, he never stood a chance with his whack ass fruit.

Well, I feel like Captain John has more of a excuse. Because chances are, John was drunk at the time. Because Captain John is drunk all the time. That does tend to dampen your reaction time.

...And, actually, now that I think about it, chances are that Kidd was probably partying pretty hard to celebrate his victory in Wano. So, there might actually be a common denominator, here. The Magnet Fruit does NOT work well when you're drinking.
