While I understand your point, Mihawk being the one to cut off Zephyr's arm does not necessarily hurt the Admiral wank, imo. It took an Admiral like Akainu to remove another Admiral's limb like Aokiji, after all. Mihawk severing Zephyr's right arm just means that Mihawk is Admiral-level, that's all.

Besides, I doubt killing lower-rank Marines would make you earn the Marine Hunter reputation, anyway. Mihawk taking out a top Marine official to establish his status is not impossible, especially in a flashback.
