Random speculations -
I think all celestial Dragon are D.
We just found out that Nefertari family were D.
They maybe the only family who learnt the real truth and decided to betray Imu.
D means Dragon and they are called Celestial Dragons because they are from space.
Enel cover mentioned that Birkans decided to flew to the blue moon because of lack of resources -
Just like this Many other celestial beings decided to flew from their respective planet because of lack of resources.
This happened in the beginning of void century.
This resulted in war because of resources in blue planet
20 celestial family won their respective war and become kings/Queens of some Countries like dressrosa , Alabasta etc etc.
Although One kingdom was superior to all other "Ancient Kingdom".
Ancient kingdom had some powerful energy source and they were trying to rule the world with it.
People of Ancient Kingdom were refer as GODs.
That's why Ds are called enemy of Gods
Joyboy was a pirate at that time.
Joyboy manage to create alliance between 20 kingdoms like how in current era Luffy has good relationship with most of the monarchs (Hancock , Vivi , Rebecca , Momo , Shirahoshi , Germa etc etc.)
Same thing happened in void century.
This was called Alliance of Dragons (Ds)
This resulted in second war because of resources.
Alliance of D won the second war against Ancient Kingdom.
They decided to create world government to stop more war.
And signed peace treaty.
Peace treaty mentioned that all 20 Kingdoms are equal and there is no single King of world.
Empty throne was created to represent this Equality.
After the death of Joyboy , Imu betrayed them.
Imu erased anyone who were against him.
Important thing to note that this all happened in span of 100 years, that means there is a chance Joyboy and Imu didn't even meet each other and Joyboy was just a mythical legend for Imu.
