Eh IDK lol honestly.

I can hardly follow the manga at this point, it's getting a little weird and I'm waiting for a lot of plot points to pay off.
Weird as Dandadan? Cause the Dandadan anime is so beautiful I love it. My friend said he read Dandadan and was reading it in class and said it was pretty good so I might start reading that

And didn’t Wenji just goon on that one girl in one of the chapters, saw that on instagram

Should I read csm? It looks fire, and the anime was peak, also I’m kinda done waiting for a movie
Part 1 is great, part 2 is weird, I like both but if you were to read it I would suggest you to wait for part 2 to end to read it as a whole because chapters are too short, or just read until volume 11 which is the ending of part 1. What I really recommend is to wait for the movie and then read the rest of part 1

I second this. Was able to binge the pt 1 in less than a week, but been reading part 2 weekly since the very first release. Quite often the chapters feel too short and not rewarding, so you'd better wait for it to end.
Stay away from reddit and the discussion forums though, otherwise you'll get spoiled on the best plot twist in pt 2 like @Light D Lamperouge (still feel sorry for your bro)

Part 1 was him doing the series he had always wanted to do and having fun with it.
Part 2 is him trying to surpass the hype he's generated for himself in P1, and getting trapped in the "subvert reader expectations" mentality.

yeah,,, that's why I mentioned it, because it was back in part 1?
So? I said P1 was him at his freest, not that he stuck to a textbook. P2 is him playing mindgames vs readers and vs P1 itself, which is why the work has lost some of its appeal. It's a lost battle for an author to try and break the mold they themselves built for themselves only based on expectations. If he were breaking it because he has something fresh to say, it'd be fine. But he's only doing it because readers love certain storytelling choices he adopted in P1 and to which he no longer wants to be beholden.

I want to believe that part 2 ending was though in advance, but the events in the middle feel like total improvisation
