We first see Shanks and Buggy quarreling about which pole is the coldest in chapter 19 in the very beginning of Buggy's flashback.
Chapter 19 flashback ends with Buggy eating his Devil Fruit.
Now that chapter 967 is out we've found out that this "fight" roughly happens when Roger pirates are about to reach Laugh Tale.
However in Chapter 0 which is antecedent to this bickering between Shanks and Buggy it's shown that Buggy had already eaten his Devil Fruit.
Chronological line:
1) Battle of Edd War takes place 3 years before Roger's death. Buggy has already eaten his DF
2) North Pole-South Pole bickering between Shanks and Buggy: now we know that this occurs roughly 1 year before Roger's death, definitely after the battle of Edd War.
But as implied in chapter 19, Buggy ate his DF afterwards the squabble with Shanks, so after Edd War.
However, if we consider chapter 0, we should assume that Buggy must have already eaten his DF.
So the question is, is chapter 0 still canon?
To me this is a full fledged inconsistency.
