This was the best Rooftop Chapter yet. So, I'm probably going to make a bunch of threads throughout the week.

Just gonna address some predictions in bullet form on what I expect to happen, and what has happened.

Zoro this arc expectations
  • Will Meet Kaido
  • Will Cut Kaido
  • Will Scar Kaido
  • Awaken CoC
  • Zoro kills Kaido atop Flower Capital
  • Will fight King
  • King CoC Slash
  • Backstory on Shimotsuki, Ryuma, relations
  • Next Sword God
Eustass/Killer
  • Fight Big Mom
  • Cool moves against Big Mom
  • Lose to Big Mom
Monkey D. Luffy
  • CoC training arc with Kaido
  • Giving Kaido the beats
  • Dome fights main focus while this goes on
  • He defeats Kaido. Then Kaido Awakening.
  • Defeats Kaido Awakening + reaches Flower Capital. Zoro kills Kaido atop Flower Capital.
  • Saves Kid/Killer, begins fight with Big Mom while Zoro finishes Kaido.
  • Gives the beats to Big Mom and leaves her in a permanent state of O-Lin like Luffy did to Don Chinjao.

this ruins Luffy and Kid's characters and turns zoro into a mary sue

imo:

Luffy dominates kaido in hybrid but gets stomped by awakened kaido, even with gear 4th. Yamato, Law, Hyougoro, and the scabbards return to the rooftop to hold off kaido while marco heals Luffy. Luffy beats kaido with gear 5, which combines rubber and advanced CoC.

Kid, Killer, Hawkins, and Apoo fight big mom. Apoo's sound attacks do serious damage to her, whereas Hawkins uses an endless supply of beast pirate fodder to re-direct damage she throws at them. Killer has a haki awakening and cuts big mom with ryuo before getting suffering a fake death at the hands of big mom. Kid awakens his devil fruit, giving his magnetism island level range and much more power. He picks up the onigashima sword, destroys it, and assimilates it into himself along with almost all of the metal in onigashima. He also gets the ability to create magnetic fields so strong they do internal damage.

Zoro stays within the dome and fights king

I understand why you think this. And a small part of me thinks this will happen as well. But if it does, I’ll think of Wano as a disgusting arc.

This is what I hated most about Dressrosa. When the people of Dressrosa carries Luffy away from Doflamingo. If they do this with Kaido I will hate it

Zoro ain't fighting anyone anymore, maybe he can finish off Orochi because of the feud in the flower capital, now the other SH and Luffy will shine the most, Zoro had enough moments already.

I feel like this is Oda’s way of removing Zoro from the plot until he showcases the other strawhats. after that either by Marco or Hiyori will get Zoro back in the action.

And now with Luffy seemingly fighting Kaido evenly Oda will able to cut away anytime he wants.

So I think we’ll be getting a lot of Dome plot coming forward

I think Zoro's going to finish off Orochi and meet up with Hiyori and resolve the plot thread about the Shimotsuski. Then Onigashima lands on the Flower Capital and he rejoins the fight with Kaido. At some point during the battle he'll reopen the scar but be knocked out. Then Luffy will 1v1 Kaido and defeat him. Kaido will get back up and try to kill Luffy but Zoro will stop Kaido, they'll have a brief fight ending with Zoro killing him.

I think Law will meet up with the other Supernovas and Apoo will join the alliance.

I think these will be the final match-ups.

Luffy, Zoro, Yamato and Drake vs Kaido.
Kidd, Killer, Hawkins and Apoo vs Big Mom.
Law is support.
Sanji and Jinbe vs King and Queen.
Yamato vs Jack. After Yamato defeats Jack and shows off her fruit, she goes to the roof.
Brook vs Who's Who. Takes Jinbe's place.
Franky vs Sasaki.
Robin vs Black Maria.
Chopper vs all 10 Numbers.
Nami vs Ulti.
Usopp vs Page One.
Scabbards will take on some of the numbers or get beaten by Kanjuro or Jack.
Marco may defeat Perospero.

  • I expect Boundman + Ryo + Adv CoC + future sight to gain a slight advantage over Hybrid Kaido forcing awakening
  • Awakened Kaido beats Luffy
  • Yamato steps in and stalls Kaido for abit - this opens the way for a short Kaido backstory (heritage etc) and possible information about Xebec
  • Luffy reveals a new variation of G4 or G5 thus beating Kaido
