After seeing that the series only had 5 chapters left I decided to finally read it because JJk is quite a phenomenon and I didn’t want to miss its conclusion.
I also watched Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (amazing direction) after the Shibuya arc and some of the most important fights in the anime
Gojo treatment really surprised me, I thought he was a major character for all the series but he was sealed for like half of it and ended up dying off-screen dozen of chapters after being back. That’s rough lol.
I understand the series hype as it excels at what people read battle shonen for : constant flow of fights with cool characters.
Although I’d say the anime carries as I have been confused more than once during a fight and I doubt I’m the only one.
I doubt the series will leave a lasting impact once it’s over though: it doesn’t reinvent the wheel and the worldbuilding is practically nonexistent. It also seems that many plotlines are about to dropped/rushed. Culling games was also too long for it was though, and I would likely have put the series on-hold if I was reading it weekly at that point
At the same time Gege is smart for sticking to what he’s good at and while most characters lack development/focus they’re pleasing to follow overall, I can’t think of any character I dislike and that deserves praise in itself.
As far as post 2010 shonen go I think JJK is one of the most consistent and pleasing , it will have a better legacy than the likes of My Hero Acedemia or Nanatsu no Taizai that all dropped the ball at some point.
I’ll stay away from powerscaling discussions, while I understood how the power system works and how most character abilities overall there are scenes I’ll need to reread to have a full grasp.

To talk about the chapter I’m glad Nobara is back and reading it in one go I don’t think it was bullshit, while Gege wanted the readers to believe she was gone (like with Yuji monologue) he always left the door open the moment he had it being stated that her chances of survival were not 0, and we know what this means in shonen, even in those that don’t shy away from killing.
4 chapters left to wrap up the series feel tight, we’ll see
