When he won at Shukai, he flat out admit that Riboku out did him strategically, despite him winning.
To him in-character he lost due to the fact Shibashou was a mystery, and in the loss he thinks he found Riboku's weakness thus he's now confident that he'd win.

Title: The Third Pillar
The chapter focuses on Tou.
There's a big time-skip. Winter has passed, and now it's spring.
In the capital, we see the completion of the preparation of records as King Ei Sei appears with his girls, Kou and their daughter Rei, after winter has come and the land has become white.
Tou meets with the Hi Shin Unit, and we see Shin, Kyoukai, and Karyoten in discussion.
Tou says that after the recent events and losses that Qin suffered, the dream of unification will evaporate if they do not succeed in this campaign.
Then Tou concludes his speech by saying, "We will destroy Han."
I'm not ruling it out, but don't you think it might be too soon for that with Kyou Kai?
imo, now is the time for her to soak up experience as a deputy. She should be taking up duties in the front while Shin observes from the rear or a vantage point.

Honestly I think it's about time she gets some achievements/general heads on her own
the final Zhao wars are the only time her historical counterpart is mentioned. I think we should expect big things from her solo that was, and I think she'll get achievements here that will justify her having a big role in the invasion plans
