Chapter 804

#21
Wouldn't this chapter proves that Qin's max potential of army size is just around 300,000? So if Qin gets smacked again they could possible be screwed in mobilizing another army right?
The troop numbers has solidified Hara has reached a point where he doesn't care about consistency or historical accuracy. Neither were ever that high up on his list, but they've clearly both fallen down further.

Losing 200K soldiers for in 2 years wouldn't have been the blow to Qin it is made out to be. Hara is just contriving nonsense to make it so.

By this period, China had a population in the tens of millions and fielded massive armies. Many died, only to be replaced the following year by young men graduating to military age.

Granted, it's widely accepted the reported sizes of armies and conflicts were almost certainly exaggerated, but if Hara claims he follows them, why not stay with it consistently?

The answer is likely the same reason why he insists on having Qin outnumbered every arc when they historically fielded larger armies than their opponents in all but a handful occassions, and only in like 2 major battles. Hara seem to think the audience requires the Qin to be scrappy underdogs to support.

It's a load of bullshit to manufacture drama.
