He knows the human body very well to the point that he killed one of Misaka clones in a brutal fashion.

Still one of the hardest things to watch in Railgun. This scene slapped hard though.

Toshiro had power-nulling ice and that didn't seem to affect him. I doubt Spatial manipulation/erasure would work. Also fuckin Kubo and his vague answer, how high do ur stats have to be to actually destroy the core? He still gets stronger, bigger, and faster after taking damage, and he ended up being made of pure light near the end. Wouldn't the stat requirement to destroy the core increase as Gerard takes more damage?
Bankai Kenpachi > Yamamoto in terms of stats.

Don’t know what the connection is between Lille Barro and Toshiro, and if anything, it can be chalked up as Toshiro not reaching the tiny core within his body. Gerard was frozen but to a point where he could still move and bleed

Yamamoto would turn this guy into ashes and Rukia's bankai could potentially kill him via insta freeze.

SAFWY Kenpachi already negs Barragan's shit, so that's out of the equation.



It's not just better stats. Gerard still converts damage into power, size, and speed. So it's not just having more stats than him that would break it. It also explains why Yhwach was able to drain Gerard since it's not just a stat diff.



Bankai Kenpachi > Yamamoto in terms of stats.

Killed Grand fisher A and Aizen in his Chrysalis form still got beaten, but an amazing fight nonetheless.

Wonder how his bankai works if he had the chance to use it?

Sure I get that, but we don't know how strong full power Kenpachi is. Another thing is the schrift's ability to convert damage into stats. Does the threshold to destroy the core increase as Gerard takes damage or does it stay the same? We know the core's durability > Gerard's durability, so if Gerard can increase his durability and stats as he takes more damage, that would apply to the core as well no?

Also Byakuya is pretty irrelevant when it comes to Gerard, it's Kenpachi and Toshiro who should be worth mentioning. Gerard was swatting Byakuya's shit with no problems.


But yeah, hopefully the anime expands on this. If Kubo went out of his way to answer this, then he's more likely to expand on it in the anime.

Since the core clearly doesn’t regenerate like the rest of him does hence why destroying it is a possibility albeit a really hard one. And Gerard doesn’t get stronger without regenerating

The core doesn't regenerate because it never took damage to regenerate. If you think about it the core was much smaller when Gerard was still human sized and as Gerard got bigger, so did the core. If anything, this supports the core being affected by the Miracle.

Also the statement of being capable of destroying the core doesn't necessarily indicate that there is a stat limit. It could also refer to a method of destroying it such as a hax. Yhwach overpowered it with his aushwalen which has nothing to do with stats.

When did that happen?

In the CFYOW novels, when the hollow absorbed the soul king fragments, he was able to break through Ichibei's power.
