When he teaches the raikiri to sasuke i remember he says something along the lines of "sharingan is needed because you go too fast amd you need the reflexes sharingan gives you"

raikiri does not need Sharigan in fact this is an original move from Kakashi which he used prior to even obtaining Sharingan Sharingan just made the move vviable for safety hazards as it enhances reflexes and precision, which is why he only taught it to sasuke and not Naruto even though he could've taught it to Naruto. Sharigan is a safety net for the technique

do you even realize what you wrote LMAO. I never said Rakiri is a sharingan technique like kamui, I said Kakashi needs the sharingan to use rakiri because guess what? without it is useless.
So when Kakashi goes for a rakiri, he will have his sharingan on. At least in Pt1

Without is not useless though.
Without is dangerous because you cannot see enemies attacks.
It's like saying reject is useless because it damages the user.

you're being pedantic when the point stands, kakashi would not use rakiri without his sharingan. Similarly, Lee would not go for the lotus if he didnt have a gate open

I know I am being pedantic, but it's stated that Lee needs to use the gates to use the lotus, but before this conversation started, I never thought he had opened the gates yet in the fight with Sasuke.
Can I be certain? No, of course. I thought myself that the gate was something he needed to do the attacks he performs in the air.

Yet he did and wouldve continued to if he wasn't told not to from minato....
You're evidently prevent wrong in any and all arguments that you've tried to make.
the differnce between the two is that there is no preset conditions or anything stopping kakashi or sasuke from using raikiri it can be used as a move without sharingan as stated its simply for safety hazards to be able to react to enemies where as primary lotus needs and has preset condition opening gates in order to pull off the physicality of move as it exceeds a base humans abilities. Kakashi can where as Lee simply can NOT.
No, Lee never used a gate cause he never used primary lotus, primary lotus is the downward spiral not Lee just releasing his bandages, maybe read the panels you shared Lee explicitly states he might have to and the he is stopped before the move even begin.
