Going to make this as quick as I can possibly make it. Alot of people are confused upon blackbeards reasoning for abducting coby. However I think I may have some insight as to what went down
First we did not see bblackbeard capturing koby.
We also have 0 context as to the reason as to why. Even if coby were to deliberately hand himself over there is 0 reasoning as to why blackbeard would even except him.
The only justification for blackbeard wanting coby whether by force or whether if coby joins willingly would be because he saw something special in coby from an ability power standpoint or for connection purposes with sword. And this is where aokiji comes into play. But gents I have two strong separate theories.
1. Theory number one. Koby actually went with boa and Rayleigh and it is misreported that bb captured him just so (a). The marines won't know where he would be and thus this gives him time to train up his haki again. So we have coby train under raykeigh for 6 months with boa. Him being captured with the marines thinking blackbeard still has him will have them focusing on bb and not send ships to get Rayleigh. Akainu would also have to restore faith in the young marines whom looked up to hero coby which would piss him off but would work as a strategy in making the marines fight harder. Akainu :"you lot were worthless in front of boa and a yonko. The only ones even aware and not turned into stone were the new pacifistas and the hero of rocky port coby. You were all weak and were of no help to him or the cause in general".
This would force people like helmeppo, tashigi, smoker and co to train hard, to rely on advancing weaponry and their personal arsenal. So while coby is leveling up his haki training with Rayleigh and boa the other are leveling up via other means.
To add coby in this instance would find a way to contact garp telling him that he is with Ray. This woukd put garps mind at ease but also scare him since he lost his grandsons to the manipulation of pirates. Coby assures him that it won't happen with him.
2. Theory number two. Coby willingly went with blackbeard. Reasoning being to contact aoikiji whom was supposed to contact sword leader Semgoku or Garp. This theory is that sengoku/garp is actually swords leader and wants to destroy both the celestial dragons and blackbeard hence why they had aokiji fight Akainu. Aokiji agreed knowing the risk and as a result lost which made it more believable that he would turn heel. All of this was setup for him to get into blsckbeards circle. However communications were lost so they need another way to get a message and across to aokiji. That person is coby. Essentially coby was sent to assist bb during the rocky port incident without making it obvious to teach that he was assisting him. It was all to show teach the potential of this young lone marine whom he would like to exploit moving foward. Now moving down this path coby will more than likely get a devil fruit. Once he does the favor teach will require of coby is for coby becoming his new 10th commander. Meanwhile coby is gaining Intel and working under cover .

The place in which minks originated from. Making koby part mink. However since he is mostly human he receives no gifts from his mink genetics except for two things: "extreme growth rate in comparison to regular people and the ability to use a more controlled version of sulong. Since he is mostly human the only thing that changes in appearance when he is in sulong are his hair that turns white and his eyes that turn red making him look very very to luffy looks in gear 5
