Speculations Coincidence ???

Foreshadowing, the meaning of numbers - we all know Oda likes these things.

Chapter 1009 brought us some amazing moments, it's a great action packed chapter, but I'd like to draw your attention to something that troubles my attention more than anything else in this chapter.

Cover Color Spread

The impression I had in mind when I saw this cover for the first time - beautiful, cheerful, but two details bothers me - what if this cover is not so happy at all?

The first detail I'm talking about is - praying idols, - there are exactly 6 of them (one is almost invisible behind the Choper).
The second detail is: the "hats" of the statues, exactly the same hats are worn by Red Scabbards:

Everyone already knows what I mean - does Oda let us know that six members of "Nine Red Scabbards" will die?

And now for the best - what if Oda has already started the purge:

1. Ashura Doji - he was in bad shape after the fight with Kaido, he was pierced by a sword and take on bomb blast , it is possible that he is already dead,
2. Duke Inuarashi - He broke away from the group to defeat Jack,
3. Raizo of the Mist - He stayed to fight Fukurokuju,
4. Kurozumi Kanjuro - a member of the group, a traitor, personally stated that he would not live to see the end of the fight,
5. ?
6. ?

I think that Izo will be the fifth person - if we take into account that his sister has already lost her hand, I also wonder if we have any reasons for it on the cover, - the last statuette does not have a hat, Tama wants to give her Luffi's Hat - Izo was not a member of the group, but it will be remembered this way?

I just don't know who would be the last person?

What do you think, is it all just a coincidence?

No I don't think its a coincidence at all. Jizo statues are meant to serve as the "protectors of realms" and that is exactly what the Scabbards mean to the people of Wano. Also since the red they wear represents the expulsion of "demons and illness", you could view Orochi and Kaido as a proverbial plague of evil that's inflicted the county.

Good observation.
