Which manga type do you prefer?

Not a black or white choice for me. If the color is done right, I prefer color, otherwise it can be detrimental.

Black and white. Especially if haki is involved. I hate the aura colors

Black and white, the coloring can get too distraction and makes action scenes look messy.

Which manga type do you prefer?

If manga weren't b/w I'd have read many more in my teens. It's really hard for me to see smaller elements and when a panel is crowded I sometimes don't even see where the person is.

So it's definitely colored for me.

Kinda surprised that people actually picks black and white lol.

Anyway, it depends.

If the colorings is just "fanart" coloring (like what OPScans did for chapter 1081 where they colored the whole chapter itself) then I wouldn't really like it as some of the panels got ruined due to bad coloring mixed.

If it's official coloring like the OP colored manga then that one.

As for different manga, if I were to read JoJo manga, I obviously would pick the official coloring as JoJo as a series is very colorful.

With color it is possible to bring more information, so I consider it superior by essence. For example Anime, I consider it superior to Manga because it is possible to bring more information through animation, colors and sound.

However, in practice, superior media does not mean that all content produced on it will be superior. You can see that many webtoons lack details, maybe because of the demand for coloring, or because the author doesn't think it's necessary since the color brings other characteristics.

Even though I think the audiovisual is a superior media, I haven't seen the One Piece anime for years because for me it has low quality in addition to distorting the story of the manga

It's probably conditioning from being used to it. Same thing with One Punch Man, I have fun and laugh more with the webcomic than the manga and the comedy is the same, I believe that's because I got used to the art of the webcomic first

I saw western comics too before i saw manga but Spiderman comic never gave me the feeling of mangas like air gear etc... Somehow i feel charm of manga is not using colors and somehow make it look different color, i like the art of black and white.
