I really enjoyed absolute batman 2. It was a fun read. Also action packed. Love the Cover Art too.

How about you? Did you like the first one better? There are many different opinions out there that I read.

I haven't seen much of number 2 yet but I will, I didn't like what Batman did to a person's hand but other than that it was good,

I think the Flash movie is also really amazing, I'm watching it now,

I've never really been a DC or Marvel comics guy all the different versions and universes and concurrent story lines confused me, what's canon? What isn't? Is it all canon is non of it canon

I really enjoy image comics tho, I binged read Invincible about two years before the series came out, and my favorite comics of all time is of course Saga, I think the next volume comes out soon

I stopped enjoying Marvel/DC years ago. Way too convoluted, too many crossovers, personalities and power levels are insanely inconsistent, many writers are obnoxiously preachy about their beliefs/personal politics, characters come back from the dead more often than in One Piece etc.

Still, there were a lot of good runs - 52, Marvels, Ruins, Kingdom Come, Thor God of Thunder, Renew Your Vows, Simonson's, Oeming's and JMS's Thor runs to name a few....You really have to pick and choose though.

I've tried Archie. Newer stuff is all over the place. Older is just annoying because Archie is a giant butt-monkey and I usually dislike such protags.

European comics are superb. Asterix is absolute peak. Lucky Luke is really funny so far. I also really liked this one called Melusine, but unfortunately it went off the rails after Vol 20 or so when one author died (I think) and the other turned it from a dark comedy to some weird fantasy adventure for some reason.

Aside from that I also plan to read Mercy Sparx and Gold Digger at some point. There are also lots of one-shot comics I've liked.

Do you mean Absolute? The one with Supes being more like his Golden Age version and Bats having a blocky logo on his chest? Because IIRC Ultimate is a Marvel thing.

I might give it a try if I ever feel interest in superhero stuff again. The last good Superman comics I read were Superman: Unchained, American Alien by Max Landis and Justice (2005).

Nice. Is he superpowered/more tech reliant than mainstream Bruce? The super long nails are interesting.

Also I was expecting him to be beefier, like, super robust and muscular for some reason.
