So some people actually think Kidd will ally with Blackbeard against SHs and RHPs, or be a villain in some sense
Jaggy's development in the first 2 acts was steady, nothing out of the blue just some simple competition with Goofy. Oda tricks you this way by depicting him as an equal.
The rooftop clown show starts afterwards where Big Meme, without even trying, manages to add a comical sense to their rivalry.
Kidd ofcourse mocks them for coming up with stupid contests, keep this in mind as it will be addressed later on.
Skip a few chapters later and you find Jaggy and Law fighting Big Mom while their "rival" is soloing Kaido. At this point in time, Oda is subtley trying to turn the previous Kidd hype into Luffy wank. Look how your favorite main character is able to tackle this beast on his own. Slowly but surely you realize something about Kidd's attitude has changed, he has grown accustomed to sun god Goofy's superiority.
In this panel Kidd uses "we", he's trying to make friends with Goofy's lackey as to improve his relationship with sun god himself. What happened to this egotistical lunatic

After all what's said and done, Oda rebuilds the barrier, Kidd is a tough guy who functions alone, creating new tension between him and his "rivals"
Ofcourse after the fight ends, Kidd's new colors start to unveil. Apoo not only betrayed their alliance from the get go, but also leaked the news about Wano AND threw it in Kidd's face. What would pre Wano Kidd reaction be?
After Jaggy learns about the yonko, naturally being an ambitious dude he will try to take down Goofy, but simply with the power of imagination Kidd becomes the life of the party. Mind you, they're still rivals who mean business.
Recall the sentance I told you to keep in mind? Well looks like our friend Jaggy is trying to catch up to the cool guys now
And finally the wings of the pirate king are celebrated as heroes of the country,..
