I always thought Kuzan was more like Shanks tbh.
Both of them are :
a. Cripples
b. Connected to BB in a way
c. Looking for the OP
d. Former proteges of the top old gen Marine ( Garp) and pirate (Roger)
e. People who competed for a certain title (FA/WSS) only to barely lose.
By which coin Akainu is basically Mihawk:
>Big red dudes with a certain motif (Yakuza/Dracula)
> Haters of the other team (pirate hater vs Marine Hunter)
> Probably the strongest marine and pirate by a slight margin
> Represents a personal obstacle to an MC
And ofc Kizaru is Luffy:
> Monke
> Connected to the Sun ( Glint vs Nika)
> Themes centering around Freedom - Warrior of Liberation vs cog in machine
> Calm intelligent sarcastic guy with defensive fighting style vs excitable dumb earnest guy who has offensive barrages as his main form of attack.
> Same bounty on EH
I guess this would make Fuji a combination of BB and Law:
> Calm haxxy swordsman like Law
> Has gravity powers and fought one of Luffy's bros like BB
Whereas GB is basically nega-Kidd:
> Aggressive darwinistic bull- themed fighters
> Have opposing abilities (plant vs metal)
> Both got screwed over by Shanks
> Both are part of a trio with a calm swordsman guy and a goofy monke.
I mean other than Akainu who has ?
Kizaru technically beat Luffy on EH in their first fight by getting up first so there's that. But neither went all out in that fight.
And Mihawk's probably beaten Shanks at least once to get the WSS title.
