Btw, even though bats look adorable, apparently they're worst pets ever, so don't try to domesticate a bat, let it be wild!

Captivity is so bad for bats that even though their normal life span is 30 years on average, those bats who are forced to live with humans often die within a year, and most you can hope for is 5-6 years. To give your bat a happy life, you will need a full colony of bats, bat-friendly housing and diet, and at this point they will be mostly socialising with each other and avoiding you.
Also I think I know why succubi are usually given the bat wings, I mean this article explains a lot -https://www.koryoswrites.com/nonfiction/no-bats-do-not-make-good-pets/#:~:text=In%20the%20U.S.%20and%20some,%2C%20and%20leaf%2Dnosed%20bats.

Aw no, we don't want them to live that short! :peperain:

Some animals aren't made to be held as a pet at all and bats absolutely are among them, they should stay wild! :smoothy:

Would hold a bunch of polar bears in my fridge otherwise 🤭

"In the U.S. and some other countries, keeping native bats as pets is illegal, but it is legal in many states to import non-native species, particularly fruit bats like straw-colored fruit bats, Egyptian fruit bats, and leaf-nosed bats."

Unfortunately it seems to be a trend nowadays to hold owls, foxes etc. as pets :few:

Smh if you want to own a fox then just buy yourself a fox plushie :zosleepy:

Read the article, Reason 1 explains that bats apparently are permanent residents of the horny jail 🤣
