What was the problem with the little mermaid ?
Usual problems listed were:

> Unnecessarily padding out the film with filler that fucked with the pacing.

> Expanding roles for characters that were tolerably fine in small doses but not for extended periods of time (e.g. Scuttle).

> Changing the events to the point it completely changes the story into not making sense anymore (e.g. Triton being flat out killed and Ariel singlehandedly defeating Ursala means Triton shouldn't change his mind about humans after he is resurrected. In the original animation, Triton is just stripped of his powers and can personally witness Prince Eric's bravery which leads to him realising humans can be good, him dropping his prejudice and him respecting Ariel's choice).

> Changing classic, iconic songs for the worse.
12 minutes.
11 minutes.

> Adding weak or flat out garbage new songs (e.g. Scuttlebutt).
9 minutes.
7 minutes.

> CGI characters that are in the uncanny valley category.

> Weak visuals.

> Questionable acting/singing and questionable choices of actor (e.g. Awkwafina in general and getting the likes of Jonah Hauer-King to play Prince Eric when Eric now has a song and Jonah can't sing good).

In short, it was another low effort, piss weak, live action remake cash grab from Disney for an animated film that never needed a remake to begin with.

I see, those critics seems fair.

Not surprised. Adapting animation point by point is already problematic in the first place (and no One Piece doesn't count lol)

Carrot: "The dead, walking and talking? The ocean really is a wonderland!"

Zombie Pedro foreshadowing

Perospero never wanted the Beast Pirates to join the Big Mom Pirates. From Vegapunk's broadcast, we know Katakuri is still in Whole Cake Island, meaning Perospero is either in Wano, somewhere else, or back home.

The Big Mom Pirates are obsessed with a cute, happy aesthetic, the color pink in general, and now have reason to blame the Beast Pirates for their Mother/Captain's downfall.

Moria HATES the Beast Pirates, and Perona is... a pink coded character who loves cute things.

SO, I think Moria will join the Big Mom Pirates, and turn Pedro into a zombie. And then, when they go to Wano to try to find Big Mom, Moria will wish to turn Kaido into a Zombie, as well.

Carrot vs Zombie Pedro.

Carrot: "Giants! So they're real after all!"

Elbaf Rabbit hint, too.
