BM entrusted her future captain Lord Dogtooth in WCI to hold down the castle while she gone. Kuzan came in due to inevitable Poneglyph plot but Oda respected Kata too much to embarrass him so he used the Caesar hallucination gas excuse rather than have Kata directly confront Kuzan

oh she’s definitely coming back this arc, and i’m prepared to drink all the tears of the naysayers when she does lol! oda loves her in his own roundabout weird way. i think she’ll show a lot more since she’s also going to go against people her size. bm is gonna be luffy’s “giant” fight in elbaf

Good thread. I read the tcb scans and would have had no clue of this if not for this thread since all Goldberg said there was “my dad clashed with big mom and my shield came to life”

Chances of BM coming back here is at least 50% now, or at least an update on her status. There’s too many callbacks and even allusions to BM — such as the chapter title called Older Woman, and the line “Elbaf’s weakness is fire and lightning”. One of the monsters also looks like Zeus and it’s been confirmed that Zeus is a household name in Elbaf.
