FILM RED SPOILERS
So this is the first scene from Film Red:
At the start of the scene, everything is all grey and drab. But as Uta starts singing, everything becomes all colorful and we start seeing all these crazy effects:
Now initially the audience would just assume that it's supposed to be a stylistic thing and that we're just supposed to turn our brains off and stop paying attention cause it's an anime spinoff movie. But in actuality, the reason this happens is that Uta has the power to pull the soul of anyone who listens to her music into a pocket dimension. They are pulled from the grey "real" world to the colorful fantasy world
I won't go through the lyrics line by line, but here's something from the start of the song that I thought was really interesting:
"Say goodbye to everyone who stands against us
No one has the power to stop a change that comes through music
No, you can’t stop magic"
The song is being sung by Uta and she is speaking 100% literally when she says this statement. There's no metaphor. Her goal in the movie is to literally physically change the world by broadcasting her music across the world and pulling all of humanity into her dimension forever
