Questions & Mysteries Could a newly introduced sword member join?

What if post-Wano the marines send a Sword member to join the ranks of the straw hats to keep tabs on them and this will be a newly introduced character.

It would be very interesting and if this character becomes a true Straw hats over time betraying the navy for real and also I can see Zoro being suspicious and keeping eyes on him and being the one to figure out the facade

I’m an ENFJ who also doesn’t care if any of them who aren’t Yamato join, and the SWORD representative would obviously be X Drake, so it wouldn’t be some new cat anyway :luuh:

But he is also:
A) a ranking member of SWORD
B) an ally in the fight against Kaido
C) a burgeoning Luffy fanboy via Koby’s influence
D) in close proximity to the crew and their captain right now, unlike any of the other (unknown) members of the organization

So if there’s going to be a SWORD presence on the crew, it’s only one reasonable candidate over some nebulous future character that may or may not exist but DEFINITELY won’t make as much of an impact on the story as the guy we already know :kayneshrug:

It seems you can’t read, if you have carefully read my thread you’ll understand why I said a SWORD memeber joining would be cool it’s not for some childish reason like yours, it’s for plot reasons

X-Drake joining doesn’t have any plot relevance to the story since they already know he’s a marine but if some newly introduced character joins then the straw hats wouldn’t know he’s actually spying on them and reporting back to whoever is in the organization. why do I have to explain something that simple?

Mhm, it’s always the other person saying dumb shit, never you, right? I “carefully read” the two sentences in your first post and still think it’s nonsense compared to the more realistic (and still narratively unlikely) choice in Drake, nothing you said at the top or in any post since has done dick to make a real case for some potential character down the line.

Won't work, he'll eventually fall for Luffys charm and end up a straw-hat..........and Robins titties. Don't you see how when anyone gets within two feet of Monkey Dick Luffy they immediately start to fangirl; damn near turned Kaido into an ally, Bob the new sword recruit stands no chance.

It's been a while since that theory was conceived but I still like it a lot.

In my head canon Law might have been equal in Sword to Drake at the time they went on their missions but like Lucci pulled away from Jabra, Law did the same.
Especially after meeting Luffy and being forced into life threatening situations every 5 minuters causing haki bloom.

lf a sword member joins Smoker or koby and Luffy would know they are reporting to the marines and not care while the Strawhats calling them out as traitor for crew dynamic.. Both Nakama and Enemy at the same time.. Would be interesting..

Yamato with slap you with her Kanabo while you sleep!

Would be cool but I doubt Oda will deviate from his current path if wanting to end the manga asap
