While they were about to ascend the afterlife together or some bs, Kaido was like no you must live on to destroy the WG. Her Soru abilities and Haki passively defending against the magma and keeping her preserved while she is temporarily in a coma until Oda needs her back. She was already in Film Red which is post Wano in another timeline.
Homie Zeus still being alive is the biggest indicator that Big Mom is alive still unless their lifespans arent tied to BM's and they expire individually overtime without her to sustain them
