Character Discussion Could Kong be an honorary Celestial Dragon?

#1
Since we know that the Gorosei can grant an individual CD status, could it be that this is what happened to Kong?

Despite being a powerful member of the WG, he doesn’t really do anything. Not in MF, not when the revos attacked Mariejois, and not when Kuma climbed the red line.

This behavior is very similar to that of the gorosei and holy knights, who view themselves as beyond human and hence use the marines/cipher pol to do most of their dirty work, despite the fact they are considerably strong themselves.

Apart from the slaves, the only non-CD we know that lives in mariejois is seemingly Kong. With his proximity to the CDs being this close, I could see the Gorosei just granting him honorary CD status in return for his years of service.

This might not make him a saint like the other CDs, but it would still grant him more rights than the average non-CD in mariejois.

Kong not doing anything suggests Oda might have forgotten about him.

He should have been involved in the Reverie, reacted to Kaido and Linlin's defeat or the new Yonkou.

Well we haven’t really seen the holy knights either. Oda is likely keeping us in the dark about the true strength of the WG.

Holy Knights are glorified bodyguards, so their situation is different.

The change in the balance of power doesn't concern them so much.

But it is a paramount military matter, so Kong's absence is very noticeable.

It could also be the case, and I would really hate this, that the commander in chief position is largely honorary and that Kong himself is mostly retired like Garp and Sengoku

A retired character wouldn't tell others not to retire and force them to still keep working for the marines even in semi-retirement.

And if he had been forgotten, there would be no need for the vivre card. And clarifying his role in overlooking all the military of the WG and maintaining it compared to other groups.

It's pretty much he's not needed at the moment, hell the Fleet Admiral isn't doing shit other than reacting right now and then stepping up when the admirals aren't there... let alone any need for the Commander-in-Chief. He should be WAY MORE occupied with administrative work than even Sakazuki.

As for the honorary CD, I don't think so. Due to how Garling spoke and how Gorosei speak about other beings that aren't CD.

You can't become CD just look at how Saturn talks about "regular humans"
He has too much vanity to really grant someone this status
They would have Killed York for now he can't because she's still useful

He is Marine's Equivalent of Xebec
He definitely did something to be granted a Seat in Mary Geoise
And there is a High Chance, He was Garp's Mentor

Kong is exposing Garp and Sengoku as the bums they are. He’s even older than them and is still working in a position more stressful and important than even Fleet Admiral, while Garp and Sengoku decided to retire because they had to get off their asses for a little bit at MF
