Warcury is god of Justice. Kuzan is a former marine.
While it is possible that other marines could take out Warcury, Kuzan has a unique opportunity to do so, given he is a pirate.
While Koby and the other marines are focused on stopping the pirates, namely Luffy and Teach, from taking over the world, Kuzan as a pirate can directly oppose the WG.
I think Kuzan could end up being the one who brings down Warcury, whereas Koby stays with the WG till the end. Initially fighting against Luffy before ultimately switching his focus to Blackbeard. Much like how Garp initially fought Roger before focusing on Xebec in God Valley.
This is important because while the CDs are evil, the marines are still bound by their duty to be loyal to them. Were Koby to betray the CDs, he’d be an oath breaker. That can’t happen because he’s supposed to be the next Marine Hero. Hence I think he’ll help bring down the BBP.
