Theory Could Teach get the Nikyu Nikyu no mi as his third DF?

While a lot of people think Teach's third DF will be a zoan, I'm not too sure. The reason being, zoans actually require mastery to use and imo aren't really the type of DF Teach is going for. Luffy is a zoan user and hence I feel like Oda won't give one to Teach so that Luffy at least has some chance of winning.

Rather, Teach needs a DF that covers his biggest weakness. That being mobility.

Teach has some of the worst mobility of any top tier. Arguably worse than BM, who can at least use Zeus to boost her speed. But Teach doesn't even have that and the weakness honestly shows. He got easily hit by Law's Kroom, something he struggled to land on BM without Kid's help. And later in the fight even Bepo was able to land a hit on him, allowing him to grab Law and escape.

Teach is strong, but I don't think any other top tier would have been clowned by Bepo.

It really just comes down to his mobility weakness.

imo this is what separates Teach from the strongest yonko. Kaido and Shanks can both blitz people with their insane speed and one shot them. Teach has never shown anything close to this.

The only person we've even seen him one shot was maybe Hancock, but he only did that due to cheap shot. She was focused on Koby right before he tagged her.

Teach doesn't really need a zoan. He just needs a speed fruit and the Nikyu Nikyu no mi gives him exactly that. With this power, his mobility will no longer be an issue. He can just teleport in front of opponents and tag them with the yami or gura.

What's more is that the Nikyu Nikyu no mi covers yet another of Teach's weaknesses. His weakness to pain.

The yami amplifies the pain the user feels. This caused Teach to struggle even with attacks from pre-skip Luffy back in Impel down. Now, teach seems to have gotten used to the pain of the yami yami no mi, as we don't really see him screaming and crying on the floor anymore. He even took Law's shock wille quite well, given how he should have gotten amplified pain from the attack.

With the Nikyu, Teach would be able to offset his amplified pain onto his opponents. Anything you throw at him, he can amplify and send back at you. Kind of like a dark parallel to Luffy's rubber.

Anyways with Kuma's death likely being near, the Nikyu Nikyu no mi will need to find a new user. And out of all of the options, I feel like Teach is a very strong contender.

Nikyu would only improve his movement speed, which isn't the issue, it's mostly his reaction speed that's bad.
I think his reaction ain’t that bad. Like he could block Shock Wille after he reached the ground.

But his movement is trash. He can’t blitz his opponent like Shanks or Kaido.

His biggest weakness is defense. Orochi's DF is already available and would give him 8 extra lifes. He is so reckless at times, he needs those.
