I just read the chapter and holy damn.
Like it was only 12 pages but man. Peak.
So the older Allen was completely different from our Allen?
Nea is so over the top lol.
So are we going to be saying bye bye to our Allen?
I think it's possible we get glimpses of the old Allen and him taking over temporarily until the new Allen aka current Allen aka our Allen lol takes over and then combines the two or something developing further or something. Or he just manages to stay true to his philosophy and remain the same. Ngl lots of potential here.

The "perpetually polite" smiling Allen is nothing but a mask. That is why Kanda disliked him, why Marian constantly went out of his way to provoke Allen: Allen himself is a fake personality created as a way to respect Mana. It is such an irony that Allen helped Lavi throw the mask off and become more genuine, when he himself is such a liar.
Even Hoshino disliked him in the beginning

Good luck! Manga only becomes better as it goes on, both in terms of art and story.
Yes, what I think is that we will see an evolved Allen, or as you say, finally the true Allen. He will stay true to his goals, but let loose finally.

Takeaways so far:
The art is really hard to follow during fight scenes, I don't know if this aspect gets better later on
The characters are ok-ish. Allen is a good protagonist, though I wish he was even more involved in the plot than he is now.
The innocence as a power system is interesting and a good excuse to basically create whatever you want as a weapon (from the mangaka's side)
Villains - boy, when I saw the Level 1 akuma in the first arc I thought "if this is the level of villain design we're working with, I'm droping this quicker than 3rd period French"
Glad the author proved me wrong quickly.
The overall plot is still iffy to me, but granted there's ~140 chapters left for me to read. But like with all manga where the story has been going on for hundreds of years or even multiple millenia, you have to heavily suspend your disbelief to believe that the Earl couldn't have found the Heart in all these years
Anyways, wanted to leave my thoughts while they're still fresh
