Hmm something tells me it could end up like with Magellan. The genie could simply be blessed by Oda with a terrific power up. It would be cool if it was something Naruto style with many genies appearing at the same rate.

The actual Genie in the folklore tale didn't magically grant wishes, he just used Genie mercenaries to fullfill the Human's wishes
