Dark King Status

We all know that an epithet is highly descriptive of a character and his quality)qualities. So I feel as though Rayleigh did not always have the Dark King tag and reached a level of power that could rival his captain's power (in the shadows of course). So he and Roger were like Yin and Yang having balancing qualities. Thus Roger = Rayleigh, so my gut tells me eos Zoro = eos Luffy.

Rayleigh's epithet is probably meant to be understood from outside the story and by the readers as a play with Rayleigh scattering and his opposition to Kizaru in Sabaody. I doubt it has anything to do with some Yin and Yang relationship between him and Roger, and such kind of relationship (which we've seen other times) wouldn't even point to a strength similarity.

This is like telling a new neighbor their car is a piece of garbage on the day they move in...at least let the man get his bearings before you start with this shit.

There are so many interpretations to Rayleigh's own title
Some say it represent:
1- Yen and Yang
2- Or him being a king in the shadows behind Roger
3- Or it refers to his King's haki having some darkness or some shit
4- Or it refers to him being the best armament user
5- Or that he's the king of the "underworld" at one point of the story
6- Or that he's "Pluton"

you can go on and on with so many interpretations and theories people gave him... we'll just have to wait and see Oda flesh his character out...

I honestly think that Oda should at this moment start to focus on the "REST of previous generation".... people like Rayleigh... Garp and give the the proper DEATH that befits their legend like Gol D. Roger or Whitebeard or Oden.... and in the process.. he flesh their character out... and by doing so... many secrets gets revealed...

The way I see it, the sooner you realize your piece of garbage, the sooner you start to appreciate better cars.

(And it's not like this post is a piece of garbage, I simply think the poster is overreading what probably is just a reference).

It's quite interesting that Ray's epithet is a sort of synonym to Hades- have no idea how Japanese actually works at times, but I'm led to believe the way Dark King's kanji is used is also what the Japanese use for Hades? While Zoro's new sword is Enma (basically a Japanese equivalent), which was also one of Oden's (Whitebeard's only brother and not son) swords.
