I was lurking and found out someone actually tried to start a Rayleigh fan club back in 2022 and it just sort of died off 💀 Which honestly feels wrong. The Dark King getting ghosted is a big crime in this fandom, no joke. So let’s bring it back properly this time. The man deserves worship.
For anyone who needs a refresher, Rayleigh ain’t just that old guy with glasses. He was Roger’s right hand. The DARK KING. And even decades later he’s still out there making waves. Old man still showing up and walks away like “welp, fun spar”. He literally swam through the Calm Belt and bodied Sea Kings for cardio 😅 Who even does that? And of course, haki. If Luffy’s advanced haki has saved him in countless fights, we’ve got Rayleigh to thank for showing him the ropes. But beyond strength, he’s calm, witty, always has that cheeky smile, and he’s basically the coolest mentor figure in the whole series. He’s the bridge between legends and the new gen. Gives me chills every time Oda throws him back on panel.
