It's a backhanded compliment because it's supposed to tell the readers high lvl haki is being used but the opponent is so strong that it doesn't amount to anything much. It's typical in this medium.

One Piece is especially obvious when someone is taking damage, Oda will draw someone bleeding pools of blood and it not even be that significant, so when he doesn't do it, it is that much more insignificant. And he will draw people yelling out from a toothpick. Kaidou was yelling for his life when Momo dug into him. Stop being retarded, you sound like a bot. No sane person reads that panel and thinks Aramaki took anything of note. He literally forgot Yamato was even there in the very next panel.

I don’t see why that’s really relevant though. Blood and bruise scaling has never been consistent, and is pretty much just a stylistic choice on Oda’s part. Kaido was bleeding less from objectively more powerful attacks than ones he took earlier on, for example. You can say that GB wasn’t seriously fucked up by it, but it’s disingenuous to act like he totally no sold it.

Blood and bruises are an obvious indicator in a visual story bro, the fact that it´s not 100 percent consistent doesn´t really change anything, especially when it´s done in minor skirmishes as opposed to a full on fight
(Jozu injuring Kuzan and making him bleed is supposed to be a big deal, similarily, Luffy being able to make Kaido bleed is what leads to the ceiling panel)

No one is arguing that he can sleep through Yamato´s attacks or anything, so that argument isn´t really a big deal. Her presence got an acknowledgement, but not much more.

Kizaru's casual kicks have always lacked any stopping power. They almost seem weightless. They do send people flying very far though, but they have more of a push effect than a nail effect.

I never said Yamato dealt any serious, lasting damage. It’s be wild if she could do that with a fruitless attack. I’m just contesting the rest of the Admiral fandom’s claims that the attack did 0 damage whatsoever.

Would you at least agree that the “GB was just trolling Yamato” claim is kinda dumb? As I said before, Ryo did that with Raizo because he wanted to mock them for thinking that he had such a huge weakness (fire), and it’s not like he ever explicitly stated he was trolling Yamato like he did with Raizo, and I’m sure someone would’ve mentioned by now if the Japanese text had a sarcastic tone to it.
