Speculations Defeated Dreams

#1
The reason why dreams are important is because The Heavens give people Conqueror's Haki based on if their dream can change the fate of the world.

Who had their dreams definitely defeated? This can happen to people without them being killed and it is equivalent to death. Beyond that, losing their dream means losing all the related potential for Conqueror's Haki.

In other words, defeats in this story don't necessitate death, and there haven't been many situations where that was the case either. However, we can say that people like Crocodile, and Doflamingo had their dreams changed and therefore suffered a defeat despite not being killed.

If we consider things like Bartolomeo being defeated by Shanks, we can actually say things like Bartolomeo's dream of obsessively helping Luffy caused him to enter another Emperor's territory without being asked to, and he suffered the consequence of it.

How many other situations can we discuss similar nuances?

List of Potential People With Defeated Dreams

1. Bartolomeo (defeated by Shanks)
2. Eustass Kidd (defeated by Shanks)
3. Trafalgar Law (defeated by Blackbeard)
4. Kizaru (defeated by Luffy)
5. Urouge (defeated by Big Mom)
6. Apoo (defeated by Kaido)
7. Basil Hawkins (defeated by Killer)
8. Killer (defeated by Shanks)
9. Capone Bege (defeated by Big Mom)
10. Aokiji (defeated by Akainu)

I felt it was important to mention specifically where each of the Supernova's dreams might have been defeated, but I am not counting X. Drake because of his double agent theme. Although, it is likely he lost to Kaido's subordinates or Kaido himself and was forced to join them (even if it was a plan of his own). Apoo, Kidd, and Basil were all effectively defeated by Kaido, though, previously. Basil gave up his dream, Kidd kept trying for his, and I'm not really sure about Apoo, but this at least puts their current statuses in perspective. If they don't have a specific plot point to develop, they are effectively dismissed from the story.

As a side-note, you should include, by default, practically all of Luffy's previous enemies in fights except for specific cases where he didn't finish his business with them yet. He broke the dreams of most of his enemies, and that's why they're not enemies anymore.
